If you're already offering audio guestbooks, you're giving your clients something truly unforgettable. But if you want to take it up a notch (and increase your revenue while you're at it), offering a vinyl record upgrade is a no-brainer.

At After the Beep, we've made it simple for you to add this premium touch to your packages. Whether you're just getting started or you're ready to elevate your current offerings, here’s exactly how to add vinyl records to your audio guestbook business.

1. Determine Your Price

Let’s talk numbers first—because if it’s not profitable, it’s not worth your time.

We charge $125 for basic vinyl record production, which includes:

  • A custom-designed vinyl sleeve

  • A custom center label on the record

  • Up to 40 minutes of audio (20 minutes per side)

In my own business, I charge $200 for this add-on, giving us a healthy profit margin.

That’s a 60% markup, and clients are more than happy to pay it for a one-of-a-kind keepsake. You can charge more if you offer extra touches (keep reading!).

2. Offer a Fully Luxury Option

Want to offer a true white-glove experience? Here’s where you can really stand out.

We can package the vinyl record in a luxe gift box and include:

  • A thank-you card or a personalized note from you to your client

  • Tissue wrapping or ribbon

  • Optional white-label shipping (it’ll look like it came directly from your business)

You send us the message you want to include and we’ll handle the rest. The result? A seamless, high-end gift that makes your brand look amazing.

3. Gather the Assets

This part is crucial. Since we don’t edit your images or audio, what you send is what we use. To avoid delays, make sure these assets are:

  • Final and approved by your client

  • Sized properly for the sleeve (we’ll provide specs)

  • Clear and high-resolution

For the vinyl sleeve, we recommend:

  • A square photo for the front (can be a collage, single image, or even the event logo)

  • A second image for the back, or use the same one—totally up to you

Pro tip: Mock it up in Canva to show your clients what the finished product will look like. It’s an easy sell when they can see it.

4. Collect the Audio

You can fit up to 20 minutes per side, so you’ve got 40 minutes total to work with.

If you’re using one of our audio guestbooks, exporting those files is easy. Gather them, arrange them in the order you want, and make sure everything’s labeled and ready to go.

We don’t combine or clean up audio, so it’s important that everything is ready for press.

5. Submit Your Order

When you’ve got everything together:

  • Head to our website

  • Submit your vinyl record inquiry form

  • Upload your images and audio

  • Tell us whether you want basic or luxury packaging, and where you’d like us to ship it

You can choose to ship:

  • Directly to you so you can hand-deliver it

  • Or directly to your client with white-labeled packaging

We’ll keep you in the loop during every step of the process.

6. Allow for Production Time

Because this is a custom product, we ask for:

  • 4–6 weeks during most of the year

  • Up to 8 weeks during peak seasons (especially November/December)

Once production is complete, it goes through our quality control process. We test everything, check the packaging, and make sure it meets our standards before it ever ships out.

7. Promote the Add-On with Confidence

Want to sell more of these? It’s easier than you think.

  • Create a mockup in Canva using a square template (perfect for the vinyl sleeve)

  • Search “vinyl record” in Canva to find editable templates you can customize

  • Use past client audio or testimonials (with permission) in a promo reel

  • Add this upgrade to your pricing guide, event recap, or email sequence

This isn’t just a cute add-on—it’s a revenue-boosting, brand-elevating experience your clients will rave about.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been looking for a way to increase your revenue without adding more work to your plate, this is it. Our vinyl record upgrade is done-for-you, white-labeled, and designed to wow your clients.

You stay focused on capturing memories—we’ll help you turn them into something unforgettable.
